UEFA Champions League Draw: Madrid (vs. APOEL) and Barcelona (vs Milan) are avoided to a hypothetical final

This morning was held in Dublin the draw for the final stage of this year's UEFA Champions League. The draw has brought mixed fortunes for the two Spanish representatives, that would not be the faces to a hypothetical end.

Real Madrid CF has been fortunate to be paired in the quarterfinals with the Cinderella of the drum, the APOEL Nicosia, a team he played against nine-time European Champion is a reward in itself. In addition, the first leg will be played in Cyprus, which the white team will field factor. FC Barcelona will have to see the faces again with AC Milan, with whom he faced in the group stage (2-2 at Camp Nou, 2-3 in San Siro). Like Madrid, Barca will have the advantage of playing at home the second leg.

The other two quarterfinals crossings are Olympique Marseille vs Bayern Munich and Benfica vs Chelsea. The winner of the Franco-German duel will be paired in the semifinals with the winner of APOEL -Madrid while Portuguese or English will have to fight for a spot in the finals to be imposed on the Milan-Barça.

So, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have avoided being face to face in both rooms as in the semifinals, which can only end in a hypothetical face. In addition, the draw has thrown both teams have the field factor for semi-final (if they, of course), which a priori would facilitate things so that in the end face which today are the two best teams the world.

The quarterfinal matches will be played between 27/28 March and 3/4 April. The semifinals will be played between the 17/18 and 24/25 April. And the final will be held at the Allianz Arena in Munich on May 19.
