josuurrutiaathletic.jpg From the pitch to the offices. Josu Urrutia has become the new president of Athletic Bilbao after beating in elections to the maximum current president, Fernando García Macua. The elections have had the largest share of red and white history, where they have come to vote 65% of the members. Without counting the 1,250 absentee ballots, the candidate lequeitiano, exceeded 1,800 at his rival for the presidency, with a percentage of 54%.

Athletic's partner has chosen a president who will take office with news. The most striking, of Marcelo Bielsa, who will lead the Basque side. The Argentine coach was one of the strengths of Urrutia, who also have Jose Maria Amorrortu as sports director and the 'Cuco' Ziganda as coach of the subsidiary. Macua leaves office after four years and he also launched Joaquin Caparros, who had remained the coach if the candidate had continued.

Caparros leaves leaving Athletic in Europe and a staff of true luxury, with two world champions Javi Martinez and Fernando Llorente, a crack in the making as another player Iker Muniain and newcomer completed a midfield enviable Ander Herrera . A legacy which must maneuver Marcelo Bielsa now returning to the Spanish league for over a decade later and will lead a club, which since leaving Espanyol has not, as it has led first to the Argentina and until a few months in Chile. The 'Loco' returns to sanity imposed to prolong the success of its predecessor.

For its part, Josu Urrutia is the only president in this season's La Liga who knows what it is to have previously played at his club. 401 games later, the 31 th president in the history of Athletic Bilbao has seen in recent weeks, the polls were right, while his opponent looked punctuated by the charge in a tax crime . In the end, even though throughout the day also asked that members were fixed in the ballot deposited in the polls by raising some suspicions that Macua denied, the change has come to Bilbao Josu Urrutia will be its president and Bielsa his coach.
